At Our Heritage Outside, we are dedicated to uncovering and sharing the untold stories of Black and Indigenous contributions to America’s natural landscapes. Our mission is to ensure that the legacies of those who shaped, explored, and preserved these spaces are remembered, honored, and shared.

We know that history is often incomplete, and we are always seeking additional stories, deeper context, corrections, or leads on figures whose contributions may have been overlooked.
